Week with Nana

Nana, as my mother has chosen to be called, came to visit us the second week of Kyle's life. It was the soonest she could come because we only found out that Kyle was coming a week before he was born.

Sitting with Nana the night she arrived....he was awake just for her....

Sleeping while Nana read....

Meeting Great Grandpa and Grandma Young....(they always knew they were good grandparents, but now they are GREAT grandparents). Kyle is sitting "in the crook" as all grandpa's children and grandchildren have. Kyle is the eldest son, of an eldest son, of an eldest son...kind of interesting huh. He is the first grandchild on both sides and the first great grandchild on Evan's side and the first great grandson on my side. He is a-mazing....

First "real" family photo...I look terribly tired and I was.

This is where my baby shower was held. I was lucky enough to have to postpone it a week because Kyle was coming and then he got to come with me. It was held at Tahitian Noni and Ekitzel hosted.

The grandma's and their favorite grandson....

Quality time with Nana...

Nana gave Kyle his first bath...look at him stare at her....

Bath time....

Being at Costco with Aunt Heidi...

Getting his diaper changed in the back seat of Uncle Oliver's car....

The first few weeks (when he was really struggling with weight and jaundice, then Nana came, and we were not all the way prepared for him to come so many errands were necessary) were really on the go. Luckily, after four weeks when we got all the health problems figured out...things settled down.
